Narayana !!

Narayan means what?

That energy which is present in all the nervous systems, in all of creation. Anything that sparkles in living beings is called Narayan.

The word ‘nervous system’ comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Nara’, which also means ‘human beings’.

Narayan means that which is housed in the beautiful and amazing nervous system. Just imagine a human being without a nervous system, he will not be alive. It is because of your nervous system that you are able to express yourself.

That energy which perceives and which expresses in the whole universe is Narayan.

OM NAMO NARAYANA !

A tale of 2 Masters !!

Trailanga Swami and Lahiri Mahasaya 🙏🙏

Lahiri Mahasaya had a very famous friend, Swami Trailanga, who was reputed to be over three hundred years old. The two yogis often sat together in meditation. Trailanga’s fame is so widespread that few Hindus would deny the possibility of truth in any story of his astounding miracles. If Christ returned to earth and walked the streets of New York, displaying his divine powers, it would cause the same excitement that was created by Trailanga decades ago as he passed through the crowded lanes of Benares.

On many occasions the swami was seen to drink, with no ill effect, the most deadly poisons. Thousands of people, including a few who are still living, have seen Trailanga floating on the Ganges. For days together he would sit on top of the water, or remain hidden for very long periods under the waves. A common sight at the Benares bathing GHATS was the swami’s motionless body on the blistering stone slabs, wholly exposed to the merciless Indian sun. By these feats Trailanga sought to teach men that a yogi’s life does not depend upon oxygen or ordinary conditions and precautions. Whether he were above water or under it, and whether or not his body lay exposed to the fierce solar rays, the master proved that he lived by divine consciousness: death could not touch him.

The yogi was great not only spiritually, but physically. His weight exceeded three hundred pounds: a pound for each year of his life! As he ate very seldom, the mystery is increased. A master, however, easily ignores all usual rules of health, when he desires to do so for some special reason, often a subtle one known only to himself. Great saints who have awakened from the cosmic mayic dream and realized this world as an idea in the Divine Mind, can do as they wish with the body, knowing it to be only a manipulatable form of condensed or frozen energy. Though physical scientists now understand that matter is nothing but congealed energy, fully-illumined masters have long passed from theory to practice in the field of matter control.

The great yogi preserved a habitual silence. In spite of his round face and huge, barrel-like stomach, Trailanga ate only occasionally. After weeks without food, he would break his fast with potfuls of clabbered milk offered to him by devotees.

On one occasion her master Trailanga, forsaking his usual silence, honored Lahiri Mahasaya very pointedly in public. A Benares disciple objected…Sir.. he said..why do you, a swami and a renunciate, show such respect to a householder?..
My son… Trailanga replied..Lahiri Mahasaya is like a divine kitten, remaining wherever the Cosmic Mother has placed him. While dutifully playing the part of a worldly man, he has received that perfect self-realization for which I have renounced even my loincloth!

Enlightment of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhansa

This is the story of the enlightenment of the great Master, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa: “One day as I was meditating in the Kali temple in a vision the Divine Mother showed me the Light of Brahman, which surpassed the light of even millions of suns together. I then saw that a luminous form emerged from that Infinite Light and again merged back into its source. I experienced that the formless Brahman took a form and again became formless – Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.” Ramakrishna was born on 18 February 1836 near Kolkata. From a young age he was fond of serving holy men and listening to their discourses. He was also very often found to be absorbed in spiritual moods. At the age of six he experienced his first Divine ecstasy while watching a flight of white cranes moving against the background of black clouds. Sadhguru tells the story of Ramakrishna’s enlightenment and his meeting with Totapuri, a great yogi. He explains that for Ramakrishna the Goddess Kali was not just a deity but a living reality. She danced in front of him, she ate from his own hands, she came when he called, and she left him dripping with ecstasy. He was actually feeding the goddess. Ramakrishna’s consciousness was so crystallized that whatever form he wished became a reality for him. Although Ramakrishna’s body, mind and emotions were dripping with ecstasy, his being was longing to go beyond this ecstasy. Somewhere there was an awareness that the ecstasy itself was a bondage. One day Ramakrishna was sitting on the banks of the Hoogli River when Totapuri, a very great and rare yogi came that way. Totapuri saw that Ramakrishna was a man of great intensity with the potential to go all the way and attain the final enlightenment. But the problem was, he was just stuck in his devotion. Ramakrishna was devoted to Kali and Kali was his only interest. When he was high on her, he would be bursting with ecstasy and dancing and singing. Totapuri came to Ramakrishna and tried to convince him by saying, “Why are you still so attached to your devotion? You have the potential to take the ultimate step.” But Ramakrishna said, “I want only Kali, that’s all.” He was like a child who wanted his mother. It is not possible to reason with that. When he would sometime lose contact with the goddess he would cry like a baby. This was the way he was. So whatever enlightenment Totapuri was talking about, he was not interested in that.

One day Totapuri told Ramakrishna, “This is very simple. Right now you are empowering your emotions, you are empowering your body, you are empowering the chemistry within you. You are not empowering your awareness. You have the necessary energy but you just have to empower your awareness.”

Ramakrishna agreed and said, “Okay, I will empower my awareness and sit.”
However the moment he has a vision of the Goddess Kali, he would again go into uncontrollable states of Love and ecstasy. No matter how many times he sat down, the moment he saw Kali, he would just go into that ecstatic state again.

So Totapuri said, “The next time Kali appears, you have to take a sword and cut her into pieces.” Ramakrishna asked, “Where do I get the sword from?” Totapuri replied, “From the same place you get Kali from. If you are able to create a whole Kali, why can’t you create a sword? You can do it. If you are able to create a goddess, why can’t you create a sword to cut her? Get ready.”

Ramakrishna sat. But the moment Kali came, he burst into ecstasy and forgot all about the sword and the awareness.
Then Totapuri told him, “You sit this time. The moment Kali comes…” and he picked up a piece of glass and said, “With this piece of glass, I am going to cut you where you are stuck. When I cut that place, you create the sword and cut Kali down.”

Again Ramakrishna sat and just when Ramakrishna was on the edge of ecstasy, when Kali appeared in his vision, Totapuri took the piece of glass and cut Ramakrishna really deep across his forehead.

At that moment, Ramakrishna created the sword and cut Kali down, becoming free from the Mother and the ecstasy of feeding off Her. That is when he truly became a Paramahamsa, when he became fully enlightened. Till then he was a lover, he was a devotee, he was a child to the Mother Goddess that he created. He remained in the state of nirvikalpa samadhi, the state of non-dual existence for six months without the least awareness of his own body. During this period Ramakrishna relived the entire range of spiritual experiences of more than three thousand years of the Hindu religion. On 16 August 1886 Ramakrishna gave up his physical body, uttering the name of the Divine Mother………

Space !!

There are three types of space.

One is called the Bhut Akash, the outer space, second is Chit Akash the space from where thoughts and emotions come, and third, Chid Akash, i.e., space of consciousness. Consciousness itself is another space deep within us.

All inventions come from these three types of space. All knowledge comes to Chit Akash from the Chid Akash, through thoughts and emotions. Songs come as emotions, science comes as thoughts and ideas and then they manifest.

Sahasrar & Samadhi

The third-eye center. At the third-eye center the right and left meet, pingala and ida meet, and become sushumna. The two hemispheres of the brain meet at the third eye; that is just between the two eyes. One eye represents the right, another eye represents the left, and it is just in the middle. These left and right brains meeting at the third eye, this is a very high synthesis. People have been capable of describing up to this point. That’s why Ramkrishna could describe up to the third eye. And when he started to talk about the final, the ultimate synthesis that happens at sahasrar, he again and again fell into silence, into samadhi. He was drowned in it; it was too much. It was floodlike; he was taken over to the ocean. He could not keep himself conscious, alert.
The ultimate synthesis happens at sahasrar, the crown chakra. Because of this sahasrar, all over the world kings, emperors, monarchs, and queens, use the crown. It has become formal, but basically it was accepted because unless your sahasrar is functioning, how can you be a monarch, how can you be a king? How can you rule people, you have not even become a ruler of yourself? In the symbol of the crown is hidden a secret. The secret is that a person who has reached to the crown center, the ultimate synthesis of his being, only he should be the king or the queen, nobody else. Only he is capable of ruling others, because he has come to rule himself. He has become a master of himself; now he can be helpful to others also.
Really, when you achieve to sahasrar, A crown flowers within you, a one-thousand-petaled lotus opens. No crown can be compared with it, but then it became just A symbol. And the symbol has existed all over the world. That simply shows that everywhere people became alert and aware in one way or other of the ultimate synthesis in the sahasrar. Jews use the skullcap; it is exactly on the sahasrar. Hindus allow a bunch of hair, they call it choti, the peak, to grow exactly on the spot where the sahasrar is or has to be. There are a few Christian societies which shave just that part of the head. When a Master blesses a disciple, he puts his hand on the sahasrar. And if the disciple is really receptive, surrendered, he will suddenly feel an upsurge of energy, running from the sex center to the sahasrar.
Sometimes when I touch your head and you suddenly become sexual don’t be afraid, don’t shrink back, because that is how it should be. The energy is at the sex center. It starts uncoiling itself. You become afraid, you shrink, you repress it — What is happening? And becoming sexual at the feet of your Master seems to be a little awkward, embarrassing. It is not. Allow it, let it be, and soon you will see it has passed the first center and the second and, if you are surrendered, within a second the energy is moving at the sahasrar and you will have a feeling of a new opening within you. That’s why a disciple is supposed to bow his head down, so the Master can touch the head.
The last synthesis is of object and subject, the outer and inner, again. In a sexual orgasm outer and inner meet, but momentarily. In sahasrar they meet permanently. That’s why I say one has to travel from sex to samadhi. In sex ninety-nine percent is sex, one percent is sahasrar; in sahasrar ninety-nine percent is sahasrar, one percent is sex. Both are joined they are bridged, by deep currents of energy. So if you have enjoyed sex, don’t make your abode there. Sex is just a glimpse of sahasrar. Sahasrar is going to deliver a thousandfold, a millionfold, a bliss to you, benediction to you.
The outer and the inner meet, I and thou meet, man and woman meet, yin and yang meet; and the meeting is absolute. Then there is no parting, then there is no divorce.
This is called yoga. Yoga means the meeting of the two into one. In Christianity mystics have called it UNIO MYSTICA; that is the exact translation of yoga. UNIO MYSTICA: the mysterious union. At the sahasrar the alpha and the omega meet, the beginning and the end. The beginning is in the sex center, sex is your alpha; Samadhi is your omega. And unless alpha and omega meet, unless you have attained to this supreme union, you will remain miserable, because your destiny is that. You will remain unfulfilled. You can be fulfilled only at this highest peak of synthesis.
